Beach overview
Playa la Tejita is located in the south of Tenerife, near the town of El Médano.
Wheelchair access: Playa la Tejita has a wooden walkway that provides partial access to the beach, but the sand and natural terrain may make full access challenging for wheelchairs. The parking area is close to the entrance, and there are basic facilities nearby.
The beach is known for its natural beauty and is popular with windsurfers and naturists. There are no large buildings or resorts nearby, but there is a beach bar (chiringuito) and basic amenities. The area can be windy, and there is little shade, so bring sun protection.

How to get there
By public transport: From Tenerife South Airport or major towns like Los Cristianos or Santa Cruz, take a TITSA bus (lines 111 or 415) to El Médano. From El Médano, you can walk to Playa la Tejita in about 30–40 minutes along a coastal path, or take a taxi for a short ride. Some buses also stop at the nearby La Tejita stop, from which the beach is a 10–15 minute walk.
By car: From the TF-1 motorway, take exit 23 (El Médano/Los Abrigos). Follow signs to El Médano, then take the turnoff for La Tejita. There is a free parking area close to the beach, just a short walk from the sand.
By foot: From El Médano, follow the coastal path west towards Montaña Roja. The walk is scenic and takes about 30–40 minutes.
