Nude Beach Overview
Playa de Maspalomas sits at the southern tip of Gran Canaria. The beach stretches for six kilometers along the coast. Dunes rise behind the shoreline, some reaching 10 meters high.
The clothing-optional section occupies the eastern portion of the beach. You'll find it past the lighthouse, marked by rainbow flags. Most visitors walk 15-20 minutes from the main parking area.
Sand texture varies from fine to coarse. The Atlantic brings consistent waves and occasional strong currents. Water temperature ranges from 18°C in winter to 23°C in summer.
Facilities include portable toilets near the entrance. No permanent structures exist in the dune area. Bring water and sun protection—shade doesn't exist here.
Wind picks up most afternoons, especially between May and August. Morning hours offer calmer conditions. The beach faces southwest, providing sun exposure until sunset.
Visitors come from across Europe. Peak season runs November through March.
