Spa overview
Therme Vals is a world-renowned thermal spa designed by architect Peter Zumthor, blending minimalist design with ancient bathing traditions. Built from local quartzite, the space feels timeless and monastic. While swimwear is required in the main pools, certain times and areas are clothing-optional or nude-only, especially in the sauna zones.
The spa emphasizes quiet, sensory experience—no music, no phones, just elemental textures, warm water, and stone. It’s a retreat for those who value architectural beauty as much as wellness, offering a meditative escape in one of Switzerland’s most visually striking spas.
